Wonderful Things About Mothers

Posted in May 10th, 2008
by emily in Uncategorized

Ten absolutely wonderful things about Mothers.

1.  Mothers deserve the moon and the stars in return for all the things they are.

2.  Mothers are living proof that some things are priceless and some miracles really do    come true.

3.  No matter how hectic things may get, mothers are always there for you,  Even when it seems like there’s no time left, they make time - for the things they do.

4.  Mothers go a million miles out of their way.

5.  They deserve more than the wealthiest person on earth could ever begin to repay.

6.  No one can make raimbows out of the rain like a mother can.

7.  Mothers are a smile that stays inside you, and a hand that is always holding your hand.

8.  When you’ve made a mistake, no matter how big it’s been, a mother’s arms always open wide enough to take you in.

9.  A mother is a remarkable blending of beautiful thoughts and precious memories, the dearest of all people…   and the best of all friends.

10.  A mother is what happiness is all about.  She is sweetness that comes into your life the day you are born and that never - ever - ends.

Remembering your mother . . .

Posted in May 10th, 2008

Remember your mother not only because it is Mother’s Day but because she is always in your heart.

Here is a poem from Geri Danks that will inspire you to always remember your Mother.

MOTHER, I REMEBER . . .

I remember when I was young and

would snuggle under my blanket; you

always tucked me in with with a hug and a

kiss and words that reassured me of your

love.  I remember how safe and secure

I felt when I closed my eyes to sleep.

I remember when I awokr in the morning

and you were always there waiting with

a smile on your face, preparing my favorite

breakfast.  I remember you standing there

waving goodbye as I walked off to school.

I remember your words of wisdom and

encouragement when I faltered and was

afraid to try my wings at something new.

I remember the look of worry on your face,

although you tried to hide it well.

I remember how special you made all the

holidays with your decorations, and how you

would cook for days to prepare our favorite

recipes for family gatherings as you hummed

seasonal songs.  I remember how I wanted those days to last fovever.

I remember when I decided to venture out

on my own;  you pushed me gently rather than

showing your pain and anxiety. I remember you

standing there waving goodbye as I

wandered off to face the world.

I remember your smile, your gentle voice,

the warmth I felt in your arms, and all that

you gave of yourself to those you love.

I remember every day how fortunate I am

            that you are my mother.

And I always remember how much I love you!

Share a smile

Posted in May 6th, 2008
by emily in Uncategorized

img_1719.JPGIt takes a lot of muscles to frown rather than smile.  So why exert  more muscles?

Smile and laugh will lessen tension and makes you feel good.  I just want to share some funny jokes to add laugh to your life.

He asked me to have sex with him in dog style.  Ang sabi ng friend niya - there’s nothing wrong about that since he is your husband!

. .  - Diosdado Macapagal. (he he he)

That’s enough for today!

Summer Training Activities

Posted in May 6th, 2008

          image006.jpgimage005.jpgimage004.jpg

My son is very active in Citizens Army Training (CAT).  Every summer, the school or group of school conducted a summer training activities (STA) to be participated by the students from different schools.

My son, Peter was the chosen battallion commander of their school.  The STA will last for 3 weeks stay-in in the host school.  These students will be trained and diceplined like in military schools.  There will be military techniques and endurance to be taught to name a few.

In short, the 3 weeks activities completed by the participating students and the very important event is the graduation.

Last Sunday, I feel honored and proud when my son graduated with honor and a promising leader of their school.

I know, parents like us feel the same way with the other parents that attended the graduation with their sons and daughters.

Event like this is very important not only to our sons but specially to us parents, even it is a small affair. This is the time where we can show to them how much important and how much we love them.

A consolation

Posted in April 28th, 2008
by emily in Uncategorized

I woke up this morning feeling exhausted.  I have been busy for the last week due to the the concerns in the projects and associations in the different condominiums.

I am handling the concerns/complaints/issues of the condominium associations of our projects in different locations.

It is part of my job as customer relations officer and representative of the developer to assist the associations and the customers/residents of their concerns.

Attending complaints is not an easy job.  Although it is not my problem but I need to evaluation the issues and provide recommendation or propose a solution.

Being representative to the Association is a thankless job.  Your performing additional tasks for the benefit of the members and owners who usually not appreciate the favor you are extending to them.

Succeessions  of meetings in the associations, even in the wee of the hour and holidays are very exhausting and make me less energetic.

These works are often not given importance and not appreciated.  Our department often tagged as the complaint department and usually the important in the company it the profit earning department.

The only consolation we get is when the customers praise what we did for them and acknowledge our efforts in helping or assisting them.  These appreciation boosts our morale.

The customers acknowledgement were not written but complaints are always documented.  That is why complaints are more known to the management rather than the appreciation of the customers to the services we have done.

Sometimes, this feeling surpass when you feel that you have done your best but nobody appreciated it.

My first . . . . .

Posted in April 13th, 2008
by emily in Uncategorized

There’s always first in life.  First love, first kiss, first job, first born, first experience, etc.

First always memorable because it is the initial.  You don’t know what will happen, what it looks like and what will you feel.

Although, I have my firsts,  but what I will share with you is my first travel abroad.

It is just fortunate that the company needs to evaluate the present management company of one of our buildings.  Since the principal of the said company is in abroad, the company decided to check the policies and the systems the company are using in the companies they handle in hongkong.

I am thankful also with my new boss, Cha,  who decided to include me in the trip.

At first, I am not excited because I know thist is job, so I viewed it as we will be there to work and no time for pleasure.

It so happen that my companions, Cha, her sister, Che and Nikki, the representative of the one of the management company we visited, have in common, which is  shopping.  We planned the schedules to have more time for shopping.

Schedules of viewing the different companies managed by the two (2) management companies is really hectic but at the same time we take time to insert shopping.  We will go back to the hotel really late in the evening because that’s our shopping spree time.  As if there will be no more tomorrow.  So it became working with pleasure.

And the best thing that happened to us is that Che, the sister of Cha, met her friend, who works at Hongkong Disneyland.  She gave us pass to the Disney.  We can go to Disneyland for free.  Hurraay!

Going to Disney is really an experience, not only the plays, movies and shopping inside the Disney but the what we have experienced of going there.  We have not experience the rides of Disney because of limited time because we have to go back to the airport for our departure.  It was our last day in HK.

The service van of the management company drop us to the dropping point of Disneyland.  It is unfortunate that it is the wrong dropping point and Che’s friend cannot find where were are.

The weather was very cold not only because it is raining but the temperature in HK during that time dropped to 5.  We were all freezed and it took 45 minutes before Che’s friend found us.  Whew!  what an experience.

But if pays our waiting, because we really did it to Disneyland.  Meeting Mickey, Minnie and other Disney characters.

I am very happy that my first experience abroad became fruitful and memorable, which will be forever  in my heart.

About me

Posted in April 11th, 2008
by emily in Uncategorized

13-05-07_1450.jpgHi, this is me.  I am the author of this blog.  Want to know more about me?  Well, I am Emilie and of legal age.  Loves to meet people because my work is related to it.  I’m the head of the Customer Relations section of our company, Federal Land, Inc.  It is a real estate company.  At present, I’ve been in the company for more than a decade.  Ops!  do I sound very old?  But I’m not that old.  You can see it in my picture as a proof.

I came from a big family with four brothers and four sisters.  My parents were both demised and a native of Bulacan and Marinduque respectively.  At present, all of us are now have their own family.

During younger days, since we came from a poor family, my father is a carpenter and my mother is a plain housewife, we go to a public school.  But with the grace of the Lord, we still finished our studies but not all.  It is just fortunate that I was belong to finish my study through hard work.  I am a working student, working in the day and go to school at night.  It pays all my hard work because I graduated in a state university.

Now, I have my own family and my elder son already graduated from college and working in a Japanese company in Makati as software engineer.  My second son is now in fourth year this coming school year.

Are you thinking of my age?  Still, as I told you, I’m still young (at heart).  Wanna bet?

SUMMER TIME

Posted in April 8th, 2008
by emily in Uncategorized

It’s summer time again.  It is time for outing, going to places with family, relatives and friends.  This is also time for bonding.

Summer usually the time waited for by the students.  It is vacation time from the schools, time for swimming, going to the provinces and to the different places.

Speaking of places, you don’t have to go abroad.  There are lots of beautiful places here in our country.  Most foreigners come to our country, Philippines, just to go diving in as far as Palawan and go swimming in the famous beaches of boracay, dakak, puerto galera and lot more.

It is just funny, that Filipinos go abroad for vacation  while foreigners come here to see the different and beautiful places of our country.

It is just sad that Filipinos are foreign in their own country.  They usually go in other countries but they don’t even see the beauty of their own.

Personnaly, I wish I could travel around the Philippines and enjoy the beauty of our country rather than go abroad.

Even resorts in the cities improved a lot.  They cater to all and you can choose  from one city to another. You don’t have to go far.  You can have more fun with your family without spending long hours of travel.  In just few minutes, you can go swimming, picnic, playing, strolling and  more activities in economical way.

ENJOY WHAT YOU ARE DOING

Posted in April 2nd, 2008
by emily in Uncategorized

Enjoy what you are doing.  When you do something, enjoy it while doing the work It is hard to do something with a heavy heart.  Enjoying your work is like you are just playing and time passes without you knowing it.  You can achieve your goal and objective and  being happy at the same time.  Remember , the hard thing to do is to do the work against your will.  It is like giving yourself a  punishment.

People who are looking for a job must remember that the factors to take into consideration is not only the high salary but also the environment, people and the kind of work that will be assigned to you.

Personally, I always said to myself that the bottomline to leave the company or tranfer to another job is when you are no longer happy with what you are doing regardless whether you get a higher salary.

Work is like enjoying the flowers while walking and looking at it.  Enjoying the basketball game while you’re playing it.  Although, sometimes there are eagerness to win the game, but the tense and nervous that you feel pressured you that makes the game no more enjoyable.

Work is a privilege.  Work is given to develop our natural creativity and nurturing our self.  Work is a reward.  Happiness is a work itself.
